VBS( VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL) CLOSING REMARKS 2008
by: Sis Beth Cabanban

Let me tell you briefly the history of making of this VBS as a, few months ago as I recall the first formal meeting we had was February 8, 2008 wherein the kiddoz coordinators and some teachers gathered in my place. We had some brainstorming, laying down their different ideas so on and so forth.

During the entire meeting, I was laid back, simply because I have something else in my mind. I’m talking to myself and to God, that I have plans for the summer. What’s gonna happen now? But God assures me of a HOPE that everything will be in control. Every task was delegated and assigned.
So as months goes by, staff and the rest of the team was excited but at the same time nervous I should say expecially for the the first time who will join the team.
Now come July, in less than 2 months time some things are already prepared but not quite enough, maybe 25 %. Now I came to a realization that preparing a VBS requires a great deal of time. 25% would be enough, 50 % would not be enough either, 75 % maybe, but you really have to give 100% into it. All of the sudden some things need to be change with my plans. And I know this was also the same feeling for the rest of the team who has this passion in serving our Lord and be part of the VBS 2008.
Hours and hours of preparations had just begun; decorations in each center had to spend late nights in the church. Finding teachers who will be available for one week, volunteers and cyn need to be mobilize and be trained for this event. Telling to you all the entire process and its details, our time will not be enough.
But the best part of this VBS, when it started August 18 and every single morning when kids come to church very excited, enthusiastic, full energy of what in store for them in VBS.
And at the end of each day it seems like we the teachers and volunteers are the one being entertain, we are the ones who learn something from this precious mind, we are the ones who were filled with joy and laughter every time we end the day. One testimony from one of the first time volunteers we had , she can’t explain the feeling she had for one week she help us here, it seems that she was the one being encouraged and blessed through the life of each kid, now she decided to be part of the kiddoz ministry, same thing with our cyn volunteers I heard no complains even when they are assigned to smaller one or bigger ones, at the end of each day everyone had a good time and even requesting me to be put him on the younger ones, Those are the few stories I could tell you and there so much more. To sum up as I may quote Truly and indeed “How awesome our God is’… Unimaginable on what God can do in the life every kiddoz and what a diiference they can do in the life of other people that surrounds them..
And that’s also the same thing the team had ever wanted for VBS 2008. That every Kids would make a difference by choosing JESUS.. to make a difference in their family, to make a difference in their friends , and to make a difference in their community.
Now, we are about to end another chapter of JIL AREA 3 KIddoz Ministry. All these things would not be possible without those teachers and volunteers whose heart and mind were devoted and passionate about their calling
Thank you for the job well done and for being a team player along the way. we may have some differences and different views but we were able to soar amidst of all this shortcoming.
And I do believe in our special way we can definitely say we are a winner. Getting things to be done is not always about having the best players, but having the players that play their best together. Teamwork is the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organized objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. You can throw money at all your problems if you want, but it doesn’t cost one thin dime to motivate each and every person within the team. Ultimately, it’s about getting our eleven to play better than their eleven.
To all our Teachers , CYN and Volunteers , thank you so much for your time, energy and effort making this event a memorable and victorious one. And I know this experience would also reminds you the challenges and opportunities to push yourself but in the end you learn something along the way making you a better person, a better teacher, a cyn and a better leader in the future.
To all our sponsors thank you for your support, I hope this would not the last, but only the beginning of your partnertships in the kiddoz ministry.
To all our parents, we thank you for sharing the life of your child/ children to us, thank you for your confidence and faith in us in leading your children closer to their savior.
To the graduates,. It’s not much what you learned, the memory verse, the songs the dance and so on and so forth but I pray that each and every one of you would do something that goes beyond what you’ve learned

Kiddoz you have made us proud. We celebrate your successes. And we look forward to sharing your many future successes in the coming years when God would fulfilled His calling upon your life.
On a personal note, I have had the privilege of getting to know many of you – and I have been enriched by that experience which I would never forget for the rest of my life.
For those junior going to Coolits, continue to know the Lord, as I have said in our last session in Oaklake, choose Jesus and make a difference in your friends you’re a genuine JIL kids, you are far more better than the other kids because you have Christ in your life. Choose friends that can bring you closer to God , and spend more time of knowing HIM and live up the life you ought to be, As Paul encpourages timothy aso I encourage you as well In 1st Timothy 4:12 "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.".
I know the next generation is in good hands – that is because it is in your hands.
Thank-you and congratulations class of VBS 2008.
